- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg and then mix in olive oil, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, and oregano until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients to the cheese mixture and knead until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small balls (about 30 grams each) and flatten them into circles on a clean surface.
- Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each circle and fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape, sealing the edges with a fork.
- Place the sambousek on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
