- Pizza dough - 250 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1 large
- Yellow bell pepper - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Za'atar spice - 1 teaspoon
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Fresh basil leaves - a handful
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Slice the red and yellow bell peppers into thin strips.
- In a bowl, toss the sliced peppers with olive oil, minced garlic, za'atar, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the seasoned peppers on a baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
- While the peppers are roasting, roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread a thin layer of olive oil over the dough, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
- Once the peppers are done roasting, distribute them evenly over the cheese on the pizza.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and crumbled feta cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
