- Canned chickpeas - 400 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water, then pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, olive oil, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the chickpeas are well coated.
- Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crunchy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Sprinkle with lemon zest and chopped parsley before serving.
