- Carrot - 1 medium, diced
- Green bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
- Chicken broth - 400 milliliters
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Allspice - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
