Steps

  1. Rinse the long-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes.

  6. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot, followed by 2 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
  7. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  8. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.
