Ingredients
- Rice - 100 grams
- Milk - 500 milliliters
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Orange blossom water - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Ground cinnamon - for garnish
- Chopped pistachios - for garnish
Steps
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
- In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently until the rice is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water until smooth, then add it to the rice mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes until the pudding thickens, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the orange blossom water.
- Pour the pudding into serving bowls and let it cool slightly.
- Refrigerate if you prefer it chilled, or serve warm, garnished with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and chopped pistachios.
