- Ground beef (halal) - 300g
- Pomegranate molasses - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves, minced - 2
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sliced cucumbers - 1/2 cup
- Sliced tomatoes - 1/2 cup
- Tahini sauce - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the beef mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, brush each patty with pomegranate molasses to glaze them.
- While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in another skillet or under the broiler until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the glazed patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and a drizzle of tahini sauce.
- Top with chopped parsley and close the burger with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
