Ingredients

  • Pasta (spaghetti or linguine) - 150 grams
  • Pomegranate seeds - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with garlic, and toss to coat in the olive oil.
  5. Add the reserved pasta water gradually until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  6. Stir in the pomegranate seeds, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using). Toss everything together until well combined.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional pomegranate seeds and parsley if desired.
