Ingredients
- Pasta (spaghetti or linguine) - 150 grams
- Green beans - 200 grams, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- In the last 3 minutes of the pasta cooking time, add the green beans to the pot.
- While the pasta and beans are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Once the pasta and beans are cooked, drain them and add them to the skillet with the garlic. Toss well to combine.
- Add the lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix everything until the pasta and beans are well coated.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
