Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes (optional) - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Once the garlic is ready, add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water, fresh parsley, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until the pasta is well coated and heated through.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
