Ingredients
- Pasta (preferably linguine or fettuccine) - 200 grams
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium (about 150 grams)
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Canned diced tomatoes - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 500 milliliters
Steps
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, canned diced tomatoes, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked pasta to the beef sauce and stir until the pasta is well coated.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
