Ingredients

  • Pasta (preferably linguine or fettuccine) - 200 grams
  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium (about 150 grams)
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Canned diced tomatoes - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 500 milliliters

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste, canned diced tomatoes, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the beef sauce and stir until the pasta is well coated.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
