- Lamb (ground) - 250 grams
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium (about 150 grams)
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 500 milliliters
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and ground lamb to the skillet. Cook until the lamb is browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 8 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Pour in the water, bring to a simmer, and allow it to cook for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
