- Roasted red peppers - 200 grams
- Walnuts - 80 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Pomegranate molasses - 1 tablespoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) if you need to roast fresh red peppers.
- If using fresh peppers, place them on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until the skins are charred. Allow to cool, then peel and remove seeds.
- In a food processor, combine the roasted red peppers, walnuts, garlic, olive oil, pomegranate molasses, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, lemon juice, and water.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to your preference.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and drizzle with a bit of olive oil on top before serving.
