Ingredients
- Roasted red peppers - 150 grams
- Walnuts - 50 grams
- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Burger buns - 2 units
- Lettuce leaves - 2 units
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a food processor, combine the roasted red peppers, walnuts, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the breadcrumbs and chopped parsley until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the patties bake, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the baked Muhammara patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Top with the other half of the bun.
