Ingredients

  • Roasted red peppers - 150 grams
  • Walnuts - 50 grams
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Burger buns - 2 units
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 units
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a food processor, combine the roasted red peppers, walnuts, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the breadcrumbs and chopped parsley until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into two burger patties.
  5. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. While the patties bake, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the baked Muhammara patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Top with the other half of the bun.
