Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Labneh - 4 tablespoons
  • Pickled turnips - 50 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato slices - 1 medium
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by lightly toasting them.
  5. Spread 2 tablespoons of labneh on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  6. Place the cooked beef patties on top of the labneh layer.
  7. Add a few slices of pickled turnips, a slice of tomato, and some chopped parsley on top of each patty.
  8. Finish by adding a lettuce leaf and placing the top half of the bun over the filling.
  9. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
