Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Mouhammara (prepared) - 100 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, ground beef, mouhammara, minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer to form kebabs.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
- Once hot, place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the kebabs with additional mouhammara for dipping and a side of fresh salad or pita bread.
