Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 250 grams
  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Mouhammara (prepared) - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, ground beef, mouhammara, minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
  2. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer to form kebabs.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  5. Once hot, place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the kebabs with additional mouhammara for dipping and a side of fresh salad or pita bread.
