- Milk - 500 ml
- Sugar - 60 grams
- Cornstarch - 40 grams
- Orange blossom water - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Pistachios (crushed) - 20 grams
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 100 ml of water until smooth and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt over medium heat.
- Stir the milk mixture continuously until it starts to steam but not boil.
- Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the heated milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the orange blossom water.
- Pour the mixture into two serving bowls and let it cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Once chilled, garnish with crushed pistachios before serving.
