Ingredients

  • Milk - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 60 grams
  • Cornstarch - 40 grams
  • Orange blossom water - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Pistachios (crushed) - 20 grams
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 100 ml of water until smooth and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt over medium heat.
  3. Stir the milk mixture continuously until it starts to steam but not boil.
  4. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the heated milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  5. Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the orange blossom water.
  7. Pour the mixture into two serving bowls and let it cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
  8. Once chilled, garnish with crushed pistachios before serving.
