Ingredients
- Milk - 500 ml
- Sugar - 50 g
- Cornstarch - 30 g
- Orange blossom water - 1 tsp
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Water - 100 ml
- Brown sugar - 50 g
- Butter - 1 tsp
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine 500 ml of milk, 50 g of sugar, 30 g of cornstarch, a pinch of salt, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 10-15 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp of orange blossom water.
- Pour the mixture into two serving cups and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- For the caramel sauce, combine 50 g of brown sugar and 100 ml of water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil without stirring.
- Let the mixture boil until it turns a deep amber color, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp of butter until smooth.
- Once the pudding has set, drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the top of each serving before serving.
