Ingredients

  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Zaatar spice blend - 30 grams
  • Additional olive oil for topping - 20 ml
  • Sesame seeds - 15 grams (optional)

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt, then make a well in the center.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions.
