Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 200 grams
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground lamb or beef - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Bell pepper - 1/2, diced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, eggs, olive oil, water, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Spread the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, shaping it into a circle about 1 cm thick.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. While the crust is baking, heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  6. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Add the ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  8. Stir in the diced tomato, bell pepper, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Remove the crust from the oven and evenly spread the meat mixture over the top.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes until the edges are crisp.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
