- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 120 ml
- Active dry yeast - 7 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Vegan sausage (crumbled) - 100 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1 (finely diced)
- Onion - 1 small (finely chopped)
- Garlic - 2 cloves (minced)
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
- Tomato sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Black olives - 50 grams (sliced)
- Fresh basil - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
- While the dough is rising, heat a pan over medium heat. Add a little olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the crumbled vegan sausage, red bell pepper, cumin, coriander, and paprika to the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through. Stir in the fresh parsley and remove from heat.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, then top with the vegan sausage mixture and black olives.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh basil, and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.
