Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Fresh mint leaves - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Gluten-free burger buns - 2
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped mint, minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Toast the gluten-free burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, a slice of tomato, and a generous spoonful of the yogurt sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
