Ingredients
- Ground beef or lamb - 250 grams
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Fresh mint leaves - 15 grams, chopped
- Plain yogurt - 150 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Cucumber - 50 grams, grated
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the ground meat, cumin, salt, black pepper, and half of the chopped mint. Mix well and form into two patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the mint yogurt sauce by mixing the yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, remaining mint, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
- Once the burgers are done, place them in the pita bread and drizzle the mint yogurt sauce on top.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra mint leaves if desired.
