Ingredients

  • Ground beef or lamb - 250 grams
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Fresh mint leaves - 15 grams, chopped
  • Plain yogurt - 150 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, grated
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, cumin, salt, black pepper, and half of the chopped mint. Mix well and form into two patties.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the mint yogurt sauce by mixing the yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, remaining mint, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  4. Once the burgers are done, place them in the pita bread and drizzle the mint yogurt sauce on top.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with extra mint leaves if desired.
