  • Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Water - 250 milliliters

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and tomato paste, stirring well to combine.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika, and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the green beans to the skillet and mix well to coat them in the tomato mixture.
  7. Pour in the water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
  8. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the beans are tender.
  9. Once cooked, stir in the fresh parsley and adjust seasoning if needed.
