Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams (80% lean)
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 tablespoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4 small, thinly sliced
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, allspice, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini, lemon juice, and water in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more water if necessary.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each burger patty inside a pita bread and top with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and a drizzle of tahini sauce.
