Ingredients

  • Gluten-free macaroni - 200 grams
  • Ground beef or lamb - 150 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Allspice powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Water - 1 liter

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the gluten-free macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the ground beef or lamb, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break it up with a spatula while cooking.
  5. Add the tomato paste, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Incorporate the cooked macaroni into the skillet, mixing thoroughly to combine the pasta with the meat sauce. Heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
