- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Allspice powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Water - 1 liter
Steps
- In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the gluten-free macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the ground beef or lamb, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break it up with a spatula while cooking.
- Add the tomato paste, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Incorporate the cooked macaroni into the skillet, mixing thoroughly to combine the pasta with the meat sauce. Heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
