Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tahini sauce - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 2-3 cm thick.
  4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  5. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through to an internal temperature of 70°C.
  6. While the patties are cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate pan for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  7. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each patty in a pita bread and topping it with sliced tomato, lettuce, and a drizzle of tahini sauce.
