Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80/20) - 300 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, mint, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, and water until smooth. Adjust water for desired consistency.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. Serve the burgers with a drizzle of tahini sauce on top and a sprinkle of extra chopped herbs if desired.
