- Ground beef (80/20) - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, mint, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix until well incorporated.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, and water until smooth. Adjust water for desired consistency.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the burgers with a drizzle of tahini sauce on top and a sprinkle of extra chopped herbs if desired.
