- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Labneh - 100 grams
- Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Fresh mint leaves - a handful
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into two equal patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings. In a small bowl, mix labneh with lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
- Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side until soft.
- Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers: spread a layer of labneh on the pita, add the cooked patty, then top with sliced cucumber, tomato, and fresh mint leaves.
- Fold the pita around the filling and serve immediately.
