Ingredients

- Unsalted butter - 50 grams, melted
- Nutella - 4 tablespoons
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Rose water - 1 teaspoon
- Pistachios - 20 grams, crushed (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the knafeh dough with the melted butter, ensuring that the dough is evenly coated.
- Press half of the buttered knafeh dough into the bottom of a greased 20 cm (8 inch) round baking dish, creating an even layer.
- Spread the Nutella evenly over the first layer of knafeh dough.
- Top the Nutella with the remaining half of the buttered knafeh dough, pressing down gently to create a smooth surface.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- While the knafeh is baking, prepare the syrup by combining water, sugar, and rose water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Once the knafeh is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately drizzle the rose water syrup over the top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with crushed pistachios. Cut into slices and serve warm.
