- Knafeh dough - 200 grams
- Nutella - 100 grams
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Greek yogurt - 50 grams
- Butter - 50 grams, melted
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Pistachios - 20 grams, crushed
- Water - 100 ml
- Rose water - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Greek yogurt, and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Melt the butter and mix it with the shredded Knafeh dough until well coated.
- Spread half of the Knafeh dough evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Layer the ricotta mixture over the Knafeh base, spreading it evenly.
- Spoon the Nutella over the ricotta layer, spreading it evenly.
- Top with the remaining Knafeh dough, pressing down gently to compact it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the Knafeh is baking, combine water and rose water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, then remove from heat.
- Once baked, pour the rose water mixture evenly over the hot Knafeh and let it absorb for a few minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with crushed pistachios.
