Ingredients
- Almond flour - 200g
- Ground lamb or beef - 250g
- Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium (about 100g)
- Pine nuts - 30g
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Allspice - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tbsp
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Water - 100ml
Steps
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add in the minced garlic and ground meat. Cook until the meat is browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in the ground cinnamon, allspice, salt, black pepper, pine nuts, and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour and water, mixing until a dough forms. Knead briefly until smooth.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion between two sheets of parchment paper into thin circles, about 0.5 cm thick.
- Place half of the meat filling on one half of each dough circle, leaving a border. Fold the other half over and seal the edges by pressing them together with a fork.
- In a skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Cook the filled dough pockets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the skillet and let cool for a moment before serving.
