  • Walnuts - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Pistachios - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Sugar - 40 grams
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Rose water - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Powdered sugar - for dusting

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, chopped pistachios, sugar, and ground cinnamon.

  5. Fold the edges of the phyllo pastry over the filling and roll it up tightly to form a log.
  6. Place the log seam side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with more melted butter.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and nut mixture to make a second log.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey and rose water while still warm.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and slicing into pieces. Serve warm or at room temperature.
