Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Ground lamb - 200 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Greek yogurt - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Tomato - 1 small, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal burger patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. On a plate, layer the romaine lettuce leaves, then place the burger patties on top. Add diced cucumber, tomato, and red onion.
  7. Drizzle the tahini sauce over the burgers and serve immediately.
