Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Psyllium husk - 10 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Cream cheese - 50 grams, softened
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for a couple of minutes until smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute, then add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  6. Stir in tomato paste, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat.
  7. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each into a flat circle on parchment paper.
  8. Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Spread the meat mixture evenly over each dough circle.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and slice into wedges before serving.
