- Almond flour - 150 grams
- Psyllium husk - 10 grams
- Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
- Cream cheese - 50 grams, softened
- Egg - 1 large
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for a couple of minutes until smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute, then add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in tomato paste, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each into a flat circle on parchment paper.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over each dough circle.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and slice into wedges before serving.
