Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150g
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100g
  • Cream cheese - 50g
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Paprika - 1 tsp
  • Roasted red peppers (jarred) - 100g
  • Walnuts - 50g
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, egg, baking powder, salt, and paprika to form a dough.
  3. Spread the dough evenly onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to form a pizza crust, about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and firm.
  5. While the crust is baking, prepare the Muhammara sauce by blending roasted red peppers, walnuts, minced garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice in a food processor until smooth and creamy.
  6. Once the crust is done, remove it from the oven and spread the Muhammara sauce evenly over the top.
  7. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and serve hot.
