Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Ground lamb - 200 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, salt, and olive oil. Mix well.
  3. Add the egg to the mixture and stir until a dough forms. If it's too sticky, add a little more almond flour.
  4. Press the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to form a thin crust, about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  6. Add the ground lamb to the skillet along with black pepper, allspice, and cinnamon. Cook until the lamb is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Stir in the tomato paste and chopped parsley, mixing well to combine. Remove from heat.
  8. Spread the lamb mixture evenly over the almond flour crust.
  9. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is slightly melted.
  11. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.
