Ingredients
- Greek yogurt - 400 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh mint leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Zaatar spice - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and salt, stirring until well mixed.
- Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel and place it over a bowl.
- Pour the yogurt mixture into the lined strainer and let it drain in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight for a thicker texture.
- Once drained, transfer the labneh to a serving bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, chopped mint, chopped parsley, zaatar, lemon juice, and minced garlic.
- Pour the herb and oil mixture over the labneh, allowing it to marinate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
- Serve with fresh vegetable sticks or low-carb crackers.
