Ingredients
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely grated
- Garlic cloves - 2, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for brushing)
- Lemon wedges - for serving
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, allspice, salt, and black pepper.
- Using your hands, mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Cover the mixture and let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. While it's heating, shape the meat mixture into elongated kebabs, about 5-7 cm long, and thread them onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning).
- Brush the kebabs lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
- Place the kebabs on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the kebabs with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
