Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams (80/20 blend)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1/2, diced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Radishes - 4, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4, for wrapping
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled (optional)
  • Tahini sauce - 2 tablespoons (optional)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cumin. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties, approximately 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the fattoush salad. In a mixing bowl, combine diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced radishes, chopped parsley, and chopped mint.
  5. Drizzle lemon juice over the salad and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. To assemble, take a romaine lettuce leaf, place a burger patty on top, add a generous scoop of fattoush salad, and sprinkle with feta cheese and tahini sauce if desired.
  8. Wrap the lettuce leaf around the burger and enjoy!
