Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - for frying (approximately 100 ml)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot.
  5. Fry the falafel bites in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with a drizzle of tahini sauce or your favorite low-carb dipping sauce.
