Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 250 grams
  • Ground lamb - 150 grams
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh mint, finely chopped - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Onion, grated - 1 small
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
  • Cucumber, sliced - 1/2 medium
  • Tahini sauce - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, parsley, mint, garlic, onion, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach the desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the romaine leaves. Set them aside on a plate.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a lettuce wrap, topping with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and drizzling with tahini sauce.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Kefta Burgers!
