Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- Plain yogurt - 150 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Skewers - 4 (wooden or metal)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning (if using wooden skewers).
- Preheat the grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the kebabs garnished with chopped fresh parsley and alongside your choice of flatbread and vegetables.
