  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground allspice - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers (soaked if wooden) - 4

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb or beef, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, allspice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and mold each portion around a skewer, pressing firmly to ensure it adheres.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kafta is browned and cooked through.
