Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Ground lamb - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon for grilling
  • Lemon - 1, for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients well with your hands until fully incorporated.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into oval or cylindrical patties.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  5. Grill the kafta patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and nicely charred.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
