Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Hummus - 100 grams
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties of equal size.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the tomato, cucumber, and red onion, and chopping the parsley.
  5. Once the chicken patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a lettuce leaf, spreading a generous amount of hummus on top, and adding the sliced vegetables and parsley.
  6. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
