Ingredients

  • Canned chickpeas - 240 grams (1 cup)
  • Tahini - 60 grams (4 tablespoons)
  • Olive oil - 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
  • Fresh lemon juice - 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 60 ml (1/4 cup)
  • Paprika - for garnish
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water.
  2. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt.
  3. Blend the mixture until smooth, adding water gradually to reach the desired creamy consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to your preference.
  5. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and create a swirl with the back of a spoon.
  6. Drizzle with extra olive oil and sprinkle paprika and fresh parsley on top for garnish.
