- Fresh lemon juice - 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 60 ml (1/4 cup)
- Paprika - for garnish
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water.
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt.
- Blend the mixture until smooth, adding water gradually to reach the desired creamy consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to your preference.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and create a swirl with the back of a spoon.
