Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Harissa paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Tahini - 4 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, harissa paste, minced garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, mix tahini and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust consistency with a little water if necessary.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, and a generous drizzle of tahini sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
