Ingredients

  • Halloumi cheese - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh mint leaves - 10 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 10 grams
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Slice the halloumi cheese into 1 cm thick slices.
  3. Brush both sides of the halloumi slices with olive oil.
  4. Place the halloumi slices on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the cheese is grilling, chop the fresh mint and parsley.
  6. Once the halloumi is done, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving plate.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped herbs over the grilled halloumi, drizzle with fresh lemon juice, and season with black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately while hot.
