Ingredients
- White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Tahini - 4 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons (plus more for desired consistency)
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon (for garnish)
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together the tahini, water, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl until smooth. Adjust the water to reach desired consistency.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated fish fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the skillet and place it on a serving plate.
- Drizzle the tahini sauce over the fish and garnish with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of paprika.
- Serve immediately with a side of rice or salad, if desired.
