Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tahini - 4 tablespoons
  • Water - 2 tablespoons (plus more for desired consistency)
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. While the fish is marinating, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together the tahini, water, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl until smooth. Adjust the water to reach desired consistency.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated fish fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the skillet and place it on a serving plate.
  6. Drizzle the tahini sauce over the fish and garnish with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of paprika.
  7. Serve immediately with a side of rice or salad, if desired.
